Two Months Today

Ava is two months old today. She had her appointment where she was weighed, measured, and pricked. Okay, let's talk numbers...

Ava tipped the scales at 12 lbs and then it settled at 11 lbs and 15.5 ounces. Eh, I'm calling it 12 lbs. What's a measly half ounce? She was measured 24 inches. The funny thing was, the nurse actually came back convinced she'd measured Ava wrong the first time but it still came out 24 inches. Ava is in the 95th percentile for height and 75th for weight. Both the pediatrician and nurse commented that Ava will be tall but we'll see. There are definitely tall genes on both sides of the family!

The poor darling had her shots today. She screamed at a higher octave than she'd ever screamed before but calmed down 30 seconds after it was all over. She did fine. Now, don't ask me how I did, though! She was fine for about 4 hours then it seemed like the shots set in. She started feeling bad and her wailing was so sad and pitiful. Ava has been held and cuddled by Greg and me all evening until we put her down in the crib for the night.

Hopefully she'll be back to normal by Saturday.
