I don't know when kids learn to feed themselves with a fork or a spoon. We just saw Ava do it. First, Greg was using a regular, adult-sized fork and picked up the food with it and Ava took the fork and fed herself. Then he gave Ava the fork and she proceeded to stab a piece of vegetable with it and put it in her mouth. I don't know why we haven't given her a fork or spoon to practice feeding herself yet. I don't know if this is the typical age that they learn to do this - no idea if Ava is early or late on this.
It's always disconcerting to see her learn a new skill. Makes my world tilt a bit.
