My mom and stepdad came up for Thanksgiving and Greg's parents and grandmother came the following weekend so Ava got a good dose of grandparent love for a week! Ava is turning into a real charmer, making everyone smile and laugh. My stepdad discovered Ava's mimicking ability - if you cough, she coughs. It's a funny fake cough!
She's also shaking her head NO randomly. It's not just a short shake of the head, it's a full side-to-side head shake. She'll shake her head when you shake yours. When we see her shaking her head, we'd ask her a funny, obvious question ("Do you love mommy?") and she'd stop to listen and then continue shaking her head (Gasp! "You don't love mommy?"). It's funny. "Hey, Ava, is the sun going to rise tomorrow?" (Negative head shake). Greg and I would be talking about putting tires on the car then we'd get a head shake from Ava. "Ava, you don't think we should replace the bald tires?" (Negative head shake). I guess we should drive the car until the tires blow out.
I can just guess the question that's coming into your mind now: can she nod? Here's my answer: (negative head shake).
PS: Ava got a second tooth.
