40 Weeks

Today was my due date and I went for my 40-week check up. Last Wednesday, I had no sign of labor (no dilation and effacement) and this morning, the doctor reported that I was 2.5 cm and 60% effacement. Glad to see all the false labor contractions I was having were good for something!

Baby's vital signs were all fine and she was sleeping during the ultrasound. She's estimated at 8 lbs and I am still curious to see how close the estimation is (done by the ultrasound machine). She moves less, sleeps a lot, and pretty much stopped having the hiccups so I know she's gearing down for delivery, too.

I think my OB is really sharp. Like, really good at her job. She thinks I will have the baby within a week. I believe her.
