38 Weeks Checkup

I went for my 38 weeks checkup this morning. My OB estimated the baby's weight to between 7 lbs and 7.5 lbs. I'm curious to see how accurate her guesses are. Also, we could see Baby Baby breathing in and swallowing amniotic fluid during the ultrasound, even during 4D. That was pretty cool. The doctor doesn't think labor will happen for at least another week based on the baby's breathing movements. She said babies will stop practicing breathing movements about two or three days before delivery. She didn't check for any dilation or effacement which I was perfectly fine with. There is some bliss in ignorance.

So, the check-up went well and it was actually kind of nice knowing that I would probably not going into labor for at least another week so I can stop wondering.
